Robot magazine is offering readers the opportunity to win a unique robot built by TV’s MythBusters.
Ridgefield, CT (PRWEB) February 9, 2006 — Robot Magazine is offering readers the opportunity to win a unique robot featured in the publication’s Winter 2005 premier issue.
Editorial Board contributors Jamie Hyneman and Grant Imahara from the Discovery Channel’s popular “MythBusters” television series built their own version of iRobot’s Packbot for Robot’s premier issue. The robot was constructed using a VEX Robotics Design System. Once the Packbot was completed, the staff at Hyneman’s M5 Industries robotics design house outfitted the robot with a beautiful custom-built body in preparation for offering the VEX Packbot as the grand prize in a sweepstakes featured in Robot’s second issue.
Details on the sweepstakes and instructions for entering can be found in Robot magazine’s issue #2, Spring 2006 which will be on sale February 21. Along with Hyneman and Imahara’s VEX Packbot, the Grand Prize also includes a VEX Robotics System starter kit. Two runner ups will also receive free starter kits.
